The History of Organizational Medicine and the Discipline of Orgopathy

In much the same way that Western Medicine has combined the disciplines of Biology, Chemistry, Mathematics, Physics, Epidemiology, Psychology, etc. - Organizational Medicine has combined the knowledge and breakthroughs of many different disciplines and applied that understanding to organizations under a new discipline of Orgopathy.

The discipline of Orgopathy is the practice and application of organizational science which embraces the knowledge of other disciplines such as Psychology, Sociology, Political Science, Economics, Physics, Statistics, Organizational Behavior and Organizational Theory.

Advances in Orgopathy have yielded increased applications for previously under utilized disciplines of Organizational Development (OD), Organizational Transformation, Organizational Triage (OTR) and also Industrial Organizational Psychology.
